Ilana Smaletz was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and is currently a junior majoring in biology at Tufts University. She has worked as a teaching assistant for Bio 15 and Bio 14 and has recently joined the Hussain Lab with an undergraduate research position. Ilana has a particular interest in gynecology and is passionate about exploring this field further. Outside of her academic work, she enjoys discovering new DoorDash restaurants and is committed to fostering stronger connections among biology students at Tufts with her role as a Biology Ambassador.
